Iron Squirrel Competition

Every month, Troop 37 proudly goes a bit nuts! The Iron Squirrel Competition challenges the scouts differently each month. Based on Scout Skills and a whole lot of competitive fun, the scouts vie for the coveted Iron Squirrel. Here is a roll call of winners!

Iron Squirrel #1: RATAPULT!

The scouts had to use tools and materials to build mousetrap catapults that would fire and break down the opponents “castle” of plastic red cups.

WINNER: BRIAN PELTON!!

Iron Squirrel #2: SHARKNADO JEOPARDY

Scouts had to catch a pink unicorn ball one handed with a shark glove that they toss to each other. If they drop the ball, they can still recover by answering a scout trivia question based on the Scout Handbook.

WINNER: BRIAN PELTON!!

Iron Squirrel #3: KNOTTY or NICE

Our holiday Iron Squirrel pitted scout against scout to see who could tie the 6 basic knots the fastest. Easy, until the clock starts ticking!

WINNER: BEN WILSON!!

Iron Squirrel #4: VALENTINES DAY HEART STOMP

Scouts must simulate the real life way most romances end, getting their heart stomped on! They will try to stomp on each other’s heart balloons tied around their ankles. Last scout standing without a broken heart is the winner.

WINNER: TBD

Iron Squirrel #5: MARCH MADNESS/ST. PATRICK’S DAY MASSACRE

Our troop will compete in a mad St. Patrick’s Day event. Promises to be a bit crazy!
